Designed it yourself? That’s absolutely fine.

You don't have to use a graphic designer to use a professional printer.

Back in 2019, RSPCA Sussex West at Mount Noddy Animal Centre first came to Chichester Print with artwork they'd created themselves in Canva.

They didn't need us to design it. They simply wanted us to print it.

And that's absolutely fine.

A lot of our customers supply their own artwork. Some have an in-house designer, some use agencies or freelance designers and increasingly others use tools such as Canva to create everyday marketing material themselves.

Our job isn't to tell you that you shouldn't.

Our job is to help you turn that artwork into the best finished printed product we can.

Getting from screen to print

Of course, designing something on screen and getting it ready for commercial print aren't always quite the same thing.

Bleed, resolution, colour, image quality, paper stocks and finishing can all affect the final result. That's where we can help.

When Mount Noddy first started working with us, we helped them understand how their files needed to be supplied and worked with them to get their artwork ready for print.

Seven years later, they're still customers.

They continue to create some of their own material in-house, including promotions for events such as Noddy Fest, and we're perfectly happy to print it for them.

But the relationship has grown too.

Through our sister company Wilson Design Associates, we now also help them with material that does require professional design, working within the RSPCA branding to create and produce items including letterheads, leaflets, postcards, folders and vinyl banners.

Sometimes they design it.

Sometimes we design it.

Either way, we can print it.

It's really about making things easy

That's ultimately what Chichester Print is there to do.

If you've created your own leaflet, poster, business card or other piece of marketing and you're not entirely sure whether the artwork is suitable for print, send it to us.

We'll have a look.

If there's a problem, we'll explain it. If there's a simple way to fix it, we'll help. And if you decide you'd rather somebody else handled the design as well, we can do that too.

You don't need to understand the technicalities of commercial printing.

That's our job.

You supply the artwork. We'll help you turn it into print.
